TB isn't so virulent that you can catch it if someone coughs with you; you need long-term exposure to someone who is infected to catch it. So it looks like the CDC is going a bit far with their fear mongering...feitpingvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12156752899131605072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36680423.post-24987680374058244002007-05-30T18:34:00.000+02:002007-05-30T18:34:00.000+02:00This person should be prosecuted for attempted mur...This person should be prosecuted for attempted murder or at the very least mayhem because of the extreme damage the desease can cause. He deserved to have treatment before he became an terrorist, now he deserves nothing except contempt for his selfish actions. In today's world of "me first" it is not surprising.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36680423.post-42991760651760859632007-05-30T17:44:00.000+02:002007-05-30T17:44:00.000+02:00From AOL's version of this story: "I'm a very well...From AOL's version of this story: "I'm a very well-educated, successful, intelligent person," he told the paper. "This is insane to me that I have an armed guard outside my door when I've cooperated with everything other than the whole solitary-confinement-in-Italy thing."

Considering that he was willing to put a LOT of people at risk in order to satisfy his own self-serving purposes, I'd say he deserves considerable more than one armed guard. Where's the shackles? He knew he had the dangerous form of TB yet he traveled for his wedding and honeymoon anyways. He was informed of his quarantine and isolation status, yet he blatantly went ahead and got on another airplane anyways, and did it covertly sneaking back to the U.S. through Canada. While I typically would not wish on any person truly bad things (certain terrorists excluded), anyone with the amount of egotistical arrogance that this idiot has is most certainly a candidate to deserve to have his treatment fail.

The human gene pool would be a much better place for it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
